My Favorite Private Practice Episodes Number 8

8. Take Two
Season 4 Episode 1

Private-Practice-Season-4-PromoI love season premieres. It’s not the finding out the outcome of cliff hangers that I love about season premieres, it’s the new beginnings. A new storyline. It’s knowing that anything can happen in this season and I’m excited to find out what is in store.

This episode is all about new beginnings. Life after Dell is hard for everyone. They all miss him, but they are living their lives. Violet and Pete are newly back together and decide to get married.

Private Practice Season 6 Episode 11

Private-Practice-Season-4-PromoWe’ve hardly seen Amelia all season and in one episode we get her for the majority of the hour. She’s popped up here and there talking to the other characters, but other than a little flirtation with James, she hasn’t had her own storyline this season. Amelia had such a big storyline last season with the intervention, her boyfriend overdosing and her delivering a baby with no brain. She went from really intense to hardly there.

Her storyline for this season is moving on. This episode fills in the gaps and expands on what little we already knew about the flourishing James and Amelia relationship.

9. The End of a Beautiful Friendship
Season 3 Episode 23

Private-Practice-Season-4-PromoThe doctors of Private Practice spent this episode in the waiting room. Doctors are no good being on the other side of things. They prefer to be hands on, but only Addison and Amelia could be the saviors in this episodes, or well at least try to be saviors.

Maya and Dell were in a car accident and Maya had broken her spine and was in labor. Sam just happened to be operating on the driver who caused the accident.  Sam was unaware of what was going on with his daughter. Pete kept trying to pull Sam out of the operating room but he was in the middle of surgery. Eventually Sam found a pausing point and Pete prepared Sam as best as he could before he told him the news. Without a word Same ran to Maya.

My 10 Favorite Private Practice Episodes Number 10

10. Blowups
Season 3 Episode 10

Private-Practice-Season-4-PromoThe best episodes of Private Practice deal with tragedy and more importantly when tragedy strikes within the characters lives. This episode is where Dell’s wife Heather is cooking meth and the house blows up with their daughter Betsy inside. Betsy got out with only minor injuries, but Heather had very bad burns on her entire body and ends up dying. Dell is so angry with Heather that he doesn’t want Betsy to see her.

Revenge Season 2 Episode 10

RevengeseasontwopromoEmily had a pretty big victory this week, but I think other things are going to complicate things more than this victory is worth.

Proving that the jury was tainted doesn’t prove that David is innocent, but it is a step in the right direction. In the overall picture I don’t see this victory making a big impact.

Aiden’s sister is still alive? This is not good for Emily.

Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 Episode 6

The theme for this week’s episode was soul mates.

At the beginning of the episode Meredith didn’t believe in them, which is funny because she has found her’s. By the end she believed.

I agree with Bailey, Christina has changed. I don’t think she’s changed as a doctor, but she has changed as a person. She had to go away to heal and now that she’s back, she wants Owen back.

Revenge Season 2 Episode 8

This week we went back in time to see how Emily met Aiden, why Victoria is the way she is, how Daniel got on the path to take over Grayson Global and why Nolan didn’t have a CFO.

There was a lot of back story leading to everything that is about to blow up.

Why doesn’t it come as a surprise that Emily met Aiden during a mission? They bonded over similar goals and after six years they still have feelings for each other.

Private Practice Season 6 Episode 5

Every time I see a preview for a show that incorporates reality TV into the episode I cringe. I’ve only ever watched these kinds of episodes once.

I buy tons of box sets and I always skip over the episode. They never seem to have anything to do with the storyline and usually are just plain stupid.

This episode was a pleasant surprise, but the reality part wasn’t the focus, which I think is why it worked.

Sam had decided to shoot a pilot for his own reality series because he was looking for something, he just didn’t know what it was yet.

He wanted the show to be about the medicine but he could never have imagined what could happen during shooting. He found out who is father is. His mother had been having an affair with her boss for 40 years and was friends with his wife.

Sam’s mom brought his father to him because of a heart condition and when he was on his death bed his father’s wife spilled the beans and asked Sam to save him.

Sam probably would have given up part of his lung for this man, but I’m glad his father wouldn’t let him.

Sam now needs to figure out what he wants.

Violet also needs to start moving on. She’s thrown herself into the search for the little girl so she can give the parents some closure or hopefully find the girl, but she needs some closure herself.

I hope we will find out what happend to the girl.

Revenge Season 2 Episode 7

Season two isn’t giving us much time to breathe.

Daniel is close to taking over his father’s company, Nolan’s about to lose everything he ever worked for, still not sure where Aiden falls in all this, Amanda looks like she’s going to live happily ever after with Jack, Emily’s plan is storming ahead and the Grayson’s fear what the initiative have in store for them.

Everything almost fell apart for Emily this week.

Mason came up with this ridiculous story of Emily and Amanda being lovers because he was digging for the truth.

Amanda almost ruined the whole thing. Why does she keep thinking that killing is the best option? Not saying that Emily’s plan is the best either. I don’t know if making a deal with Mason was the best idea. The more people that know the truth, the more chances she has to being exposed.

Emily’s mom almost put an end to the whole thing. I’m sure Emily would be more than happy to see Victoria and Conrad dead, but then she wouldn’t be able to get to the initiative and she would never get a chance to know her mom. If it wasn’t for Aiden, Victoria and Conrad would probably be dead.

I don’t see what good can come from Nolan giving up his company. I can’t see how that can bring them closer to the initiative. Maybe this will unfold in the coming episodes.

Love has always been a distraction and hindrance for Emily, but I think it’s about time she kissed Aiden. The tension between them isn’t helping either.

I want to believe that Aiden is there to help and I do think that he still cares for her, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have another agenda. Emily loved Daniel and was playing him the whole time.

There will be no new episodes of Revenge for two weeks. What will we do next Sunday? The next episode will be a Thanksgiving episode. That sounds like a perfect time for some revenge.

Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 Episode 5

It’s about time that Christina came home.

This episode was interesting. Christina was trying desperately to keep her only friend in Minnesota and Meredith was trying to deal with a case that touched a little close to home, while trying to get Zola taken care of.

I guess Christina losing her only friend in Minnesota was what she needed to get on a plane and go home.

Christina is not a stranger of stressful operations. She had to operate on her best friend’s husband with a gun pointing at her. I think your friend dying and not being able to do anything to help him ranks right up there.

I almost feel like Dr. Thomas knew his time was up and not just at the hospital. He was giving Christina some last pieces of wisdom before he passed. At least he died while doing what he loved. On the other hand dying with a patient on your table is not so good, but he wanted to practice medicine as long as possible and he succeeded.

It was interesting to see Christina grow and learn in a different environment, but it was definitely time to bring her home.

Meredith’s focus was also split. She was worrying about Zola while trying to operate on her patient. She got through it. She wouldn’t have been able to get through it with out Christina. I think they’ve spoken more since she moved than when she lived there. When Christina lived in Seattle all the doctors hung out together, but with her in Minnesota there’s been a lot of one on one time between her and Meredith.

I missed the other characters this week. There’s so many characters that sometime episodes will have to focus in on only a few of them, but I still missed the other characters.
