Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt 23 Season 1 Episode 6

Chloe was not as crazy as she normal is in this episode. Convincing June to have casual sex is tame for Chloe. It kind of back fired though. June didn’t want a relationship with soy latte guy and that’s what she ended up with.

Chloe actually was showing she has a caring side for a change. She found the bird for soy latte guy and she couldn’t make a sex tape with James. It’s been obvious since the beginning they have feelings for each other. It’s not romantic feelings, but it’s a good friendship that they have. I guess June is rubbing off on Chloe as much as Chloe is rubbing off on June. June is a stronger more confident person with Chloe as her friend.

James waited too long to release his sex tape. He’ll have to come up with some other way to get his free publicity and get votes on Dancing with the Stars. If he just keeps playing on his Dawson fame he should earn the votes easily. The girls seem to run towards him when he does anything Dawson.

ABC Renews Revenge, Private Practice and Apt 23

ABC has renewed Revenge, Private Practice and Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt 23.

According to TV Guide, Revenge and Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt 23 have been renewed for a second season and Private Practice for a sixth season.

The season one finale of Revenge has yet to air, but creator Mike Kelley is already working on the season two premiere, Wetpaint reports.

The cast of Revenge are absolutely thrilled to hear the news. They posted their feelings on Twitter. Emily VanCamp said: Season 2 pick up For #REVENGE ! Couldn’t be happier. Thanks ABC :) ” and Gadriel Mann said: “Huge S2 @revenge #ff @ the fandom. We wouldn’t b back w/o u) endless thanks. My year is now officially made. #GetSome”

According to TV Guide, the renewal of Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt 23 came as a surprise because the ratings dropped by 1.22 million from the series premiere. Though The Hollywood Reporter says that the show has had a consistent performance surrounding the positive buzz around James van der Beek’s comedic performance.

TV Guide reports that Private Practice’s renewal was also a surprise, because the show lost almost 30% of it’s viewers when it moved to Tuesday nights. When Private Practice premiered in 2007 it received 14.41 million viewers.

The show came back with the help of a Twitter campaign, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Show creator Shonda Rhimes used spoilers and raised awareness about the Tuesday night move.

How TV Ratings Are Calculated Needs Updating

It’s that time of the year when some of our favorite shows are getting cancelled and we’re left wondering why.

The Nielsen ratings are calculated by the number of people that watch the program live and the people that watch the show on their DVR that same day. If you are watching your favorite show online or on your DVR the next day, your view is not getting counted. I think it is outrages to determine ratings and the show’s future in this method. How many of you watch shows online? Or even on your DVR the next day or even a few days after the show has aired? In this day and age a lot of people are watching the shows later. We have work or we have plans. We can’t be expected to revolve our lives around a TV show when there are other methods of watching it.

Not all households are counted when tallying the ratings. Only Nielsen households are counted and if you are not a Nielsen household then you are not getting counted.

Some great shows have been cancelled because of these methods. Take The Secret Circle that just got cancelled, for example. According to TV Guide, The Secret Circle only received 1.2 million viewers for the season finale. If they counted all the people that watched the show online or on their DVR the day after, how many more viewers do you think would be counted?

Another thing the networks should take in consideration at the end of the season is final exams. With shows like The Secret Circle, its main viewers are high school and college students. The main viewers of the shows are finishing up essays and studying for exams. They are not going to be watching TV shows live on TV. They will watch them when it fits into their schedule. TV shows take breaks for holidays, because I assume they realize people are busy. Well then why not take breaks for exams.

The people who are watching these show are not all in nine to five jobs. Some of them work nights. These people don’t watch shows live on TV. There are so many factors that networks have to take in consideration. Just because they have a great show does not mean everyone is going to watch it live. If we are at work we just can’t. With all this technology at out disposal you would think they would come up with another way to calculate show ratings. I think they should calculate how many people watch the show at least a week afterwords, maybe even more. Networks like FOX only allow viewers that either have Dish or Verizon to watch episodes online a day after the show airs. If you don’t have one of those providers you have to wait eight days to watch the episode. So even a week after would not work in cases like this.

The networks need to look at how they are rating their shows. They need to think about all the factors that are preventing people tuning in live. Why are there so many other ways of watching TV if they are not counting those views in the ratings? If they are going to provide us with other methods to let us keep up with our favorite shows, they should count those views towards the ratings too.

I don’t know why Chloe keeps amazing me. I should know by now that she’s going to do the unthinkable.

I don’t know whether to be proud of June or ashamed. She definitely did something she would never have done before she met Chloe, but it was to Chloe so does that make it ok? I mean she impressed even Chloe. I have to say it was an ingenious scheme. She earned money and Robin got closer to Chloe. I think Chloe would have even played along if June had told her. June shouldn’t feel bad though. With all the things Chloe does to her behind her back, Chloe was due something. It was very tame compared to the things Chloe does. I mean fostering a child without June’s knowledge, setting June up with her father and now putting her on a fetish site. I think most sane people would have moved out by now. Not June though. She’s fitting right in with Chloe. I love the chemistry between Chloe and June. Not to mention the hilarious schemes Chloe comes up with.

James part in the show is a really good spoof on himself. He hasn’t done much of anything since Dawson’s Creek, but he’s managed to hold on to that fame and everything he does reflects on that fame. I hope in real life James will be able to move on from Dawson, but for now I am enjoying watching him make fun of himself. I love his character and I love how willing he is to make himself look stupid. It’s a very nice side story for the show.

I can’t believe Steven called June boring. Since the minute we met June she’s been far from boring. She’s started her life completely over again, been thrown into some weird situations with Chloe and has handled herself quite well. The only thing she lacked was confidence, which Chloe and James gave to her. I think Steven is regretting cheating on her now.

Chloe did such a good job in giving June confidence that she got jealous that June became friends with James, but in the end she figured out they could share him. Even with Chloe’s jealousy, she was still there for June in the end. It was a little unconventional, but it was a great laugh and it sure put Steven in his place.

I think this is the most we’ve seen James in an episode. He usually has a side story, but this week he was right in the middle. I can’t believe the bride slept with him. I know he was her freebie, but on her wedding day?! If these girls could only see the real James, he’s nothing like Dawson. He seems like he would be a lot of fun to be with though. He can’t be all-bad, since he’s good friends with Chloe and has become friends with June. He’s not sleeping with either of them, but he’s still there for them. In a very weird way that still benefits himself too.

I think James has found his place, playing a fictional version of himself.

I didn’t think it was possible, but Chloe has out done herself again. I thought Chloe hooking her roommate up with her dad was bad, but that’s nothing compared to adopting a foster child for her and June without June’s knowledge. June is pretty naive for falling for it though. Wouldn’t you read the form that you’re signing?

I’m surprised it took that long for June to have a nervous breakdown. The internship and the job was a lot on it’s own. Especially when the internship was more than a full-time job, but a kid on top of all that is just insane. I think June is addicted to responsibility. She didn’t need to take on the responsibility of the foster child. She could have just sent her back.

June and Chloe never seem to do anything small. What will they do next?

James is hilarious. His fictional character can’t do anything right after Dawson’s Creek. I think his problem is the roles he chooses, but it sure it funny watching him pick all the wrong roles.

For a moment we thought that Chloe was normal and cared, but that moment did not last very long. Why on earth would you set up your roommate with your dad? That’s just gross. Chloe’s parents had only been separated a few days on top of that. I think there is something seriously wrong with Chloe, seriously wrong. Her one bad idea spun out of control. Her father ended up in the hospital because of it. I’m a little afraid to see what crazy thing she’ll do next.

James might be Chloe’s perfect match. He’s not right in the mind either. Girls are obsessed with him and all he wants is to be appreciated for is acting. Which might sound sincere, till you dive deeper and find out more. He was competing with James Franco for being a better acting teacher. They say those who can’t do teach, did he ever read that anywhere.

This show is absolutely insane. You never know what’s going to happen next.

Don’t Trust the B— in Apartment 23 is a Must Watch

Don’t Trust the B— in Apartment 23 is absolutely hilarious!

Krysten Ritter plays the bitch in apartment 23, Chloe. Ritter was good in Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls, but I think she has found her perfect role as Chloe.

You hate her, but love her almost the minute she comes on screen. She’s a con artists that swindles money from her roommates. They move in paying first and last month’s rent, plus deposit, and then she drives them crazy till they move out. Chloe has met her match with June, played by Dreama Walker.

June is from Indiana and has just moved to New York for a major job. That job is lost when the company goes under. She is left with no job or home, till she meets Chloe. She moves in naive to Chloe’s ways, but quickly catches on and plays along.

James Van Der Beek also stars as himself, well kind of himself. He play’s a fictionalized version of himself, who likes to use his Dawson’s fame to pick up girls. We haven’t seen Beek in much since he left Dawson’s Creek. Katie Holmes has made a few movies, Michelle Williams has been Oscar nominated and Joshua Jackson stars in a sci-fi TV show. Hopefully this will be Beek’s next big role.

So far I love him playing himself. If you were a fan of Dawson’s Creek you should check out the show just for the Dawson references. Now just don’t take it seriously and you’ll get a big hit out of going down memory lane.

I am hooked and I’ve only seen one episode. That doesn’t happen to me very often. It takes at least two episodes for me to make a solid opinion of a show, but this cast has got me hooked on the first one.

ABC is streaming the pilot episode online before it even premieres. If you don’t catch the episode online make sure to tune in for the premiere of Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 on ABC, Wednesday, April 11 at 9:30/8:30c.
